As a chic socialite with a background in marketing, events and brand building, Amber Lee not only designs Kane & Couture, but also handles the business development, strategic relationships, sales, marketing and PR for her growing brand. “Right now, I do everything but sew the garments,” she says, and she’s loving every moment of it.
Amidst an economic downturn, the U.S. pet market seems to be either recession-proof or recession-resistant with total U.S. retail sales rising. Packaged Facts forecasts that the pet market will grow 6 percent, from an estimated $49.8 billion in 2008, to about $53 billion in 2009. As an aggressive opportunist, Lee wants part of the pie. She is currently designing the Fall 2009 Collection and preparing for upcoming tradeshows such as the Backer’s 43rd Annual Pet Industry Christmas Show in Chicago, October 2-4, 2009.
